The excursion begins in Santa Maria, the island's vibrant and touristy village. After a brief overview of the itinerary, we'll set off to explore Sal's natural treasures. The first stop on your tour takes you to Buracona, a spectacular site known for its "Blue Eye." This natural phenomenon occurs in an underwater cave where light filters through the rocks, creating a dazzling blue hue in the water. It's a magical place, perfect for taking photos and enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Depending on the time of day, the light and colors can offer a mesmerizing display. Next, we head to Pedra de Lume, an ancient volcanic crater containing a salt lake. This fascinating site is ideal for a relaxing swim where you can float effortlessly in the water, thanks to the high salt concentration, similar to the Dead Sea experience. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and stunning landscapes around the lake while learning about the history of this unique geological formation. After exploring Pedra de Lume, you'll head to Shark Bay, a site renowned for its exceptional marine life. Depending on your preferences and the season, you'll have the option of taking a boat trip to observe sharks in their natural habitat, or going diving to discover these marine creatures up close. It's a thrilling and unique experience that allows you to observe sharks safely and with respect for the environment. At the end of the day, you'll be driven back to Santa Maria, where the excursion concludes. You can enjoy the rest of your evening relaxing on the beach or further exploring the charming village.
